Plywood Crates

Plywood crates provide a reliable solution for transporting goods where weight, strength and compliance matter. Built using heat-treated materials to ISPM15 standards, they are ready for export without delay. Each crate is manufactured to suit your load, handling, and shipping method.

The internal packaging does the real work. We design foam inserts, bracing and fixings to control movement and protect every surface in transit. This ensures your equipment arrives as packed, regardless of conditions. Enquire now to get your plywood crate built to spec.

How it works

Every project starts with a detailed discussion about your product, destination and timescales. We’ll gather dimensions, weight, lifting points and transport method (road, sea or air), along with any compliance requirements such as ISPM15 export certification. If needed, we can work from technical drawings or arrange a site visit to assess the item in person.

Our team designs a crate tailored specifically to your equipment. This may include reinforced bases, internal bracing, shock protection, moisture barriers or custom foam inserts for high-value or sensitive items. Once specifications are agreed, we provide a clear, itemised quotation and lead time.

Your crate is built in-house using high-quality, sustainably sourced timber. All export crates are heat-treated and stamped in line with ISPM15 regulations, ensuring smooth customs clearance and full compliance for international shipping.

We can supply the crate only, or provide a full packing service. This includes secure fixing, vacuum packing, desiccants, corrosion protection and detailed labelling where required. Our goal is to eliminate movement in transit and minimise risk of damage.

Finished crates can be delivered flat-packed or fully assembled. For larger or complex items, our team can attend site to pack and secure your goods directly, helping you meet tight shipping deadlines.

Frequently Asked Questions

What are plywood crates used for?

Plywood crates are used for shipping and storing goods across air, sea, and road. They suit export shipments, machinery, and fragile equipment..

Are plywood crates suitable for international shipping?

Yes, all materials are heat treated to ISPM15 standards. This allows smooth customs clearance without additional treatment or delays.

How strong are plywood crates?

Plywood crates offer high strength with reduced weight compared to solid timber. They can be reinforced to handle heavy or complex loads.

Can you add internal protection?

Yes, we design custom foam inserts, supports, and restraints. Internal packaging prevents movement and protects sensitive components.

Are plywood crates reusable?

They can be reused depending on handling and condition. We can also design them for repeat use with easy access features.
